Is there any difference between my 17059253 and a 17058253 ???

They are basically the same, with minor differences.  The airhorn on the 79 has 3 attaching screws, and plugs over the metric tamper resistant idle mixture screws.  The plugs are usually gone. 

The 79 is a bit more restrictive for fuel delivery, or slightly leaner calibration.  For all practical purposes both carbs have exactly the same potential as a high performance unit.....Cliff
