Title: Choke Pulloffs:
Post by: 455 Formula 4 Speed on April 21, 2012, 12:09:27 PM
Cliff,

Where can I get the secondary pulloff with the adjustment screw in the center, like the one that came on my 17058553 Q-Jet??? Since I use a choke, I like the adjustability of this style pulloff.

Also...I have a 1.5 second pulloff I bought from you a couple of years back. I tried slowing it down with a restrictor in the hose all the way down to .026" but I cannot seem to slow it up enough!!!!

The primary pull-off unloads the choke on that model.  The secondary pull-off is a back-up.

To slow down the pull-off you will need to make a restrictor down around .014-.016".....Cliff

You may decide not to use a secondary pull-off, but Advance Auto parts does sell one with the adjustment screw in the center.

The secondary pull-off for my 17080213 Quadrajet is $41.99 and its a special order item.   However, its the only pull-off connected to the secondary flaps, so I don't think I can leave it off.
