71 Corvette, 454, comp cams high energy 268H, CR approx 9.8 to 1, Stock heads and exhaust.
Called Cliff and bought the rebuild kit for the 1901 and Cliff's book. Used receipe 2. Car runs fairly well. Slight fuel drip out of one nozzle with Idle at 700rpm. I can get the drip to stop at less than 600 rpm but the car won't idle well down there. I'm running 71 jets with 39 rods. I don't know where to go next. Seems I need to get some more idle by pass air but since that requires drilling I want to make sure and have an idea of how more i need.
Car also seen a little flat in the top end.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Pretty small cam in a 454, and ground on a 110LSA. It's probably done making power around 4500-4800rpm's.
May need more idle fuel to the mixture screws and idle bypass air.
If only one nozzle is dripping, verify the correct gasket was used between the main body and baseplate, and that one throttle plate isn't open further than the other one, twisted primary shaft, etc.....Cliff
