Title: Baseplate Idle Mixture Holes
Post by: Rhett on May 15, 2012, 03:05:39 AM
Working on a 17056240 that is going on a stock 73 Stage 1 car - Following the 1st recipe from the book pretty closely, but it doesnt seem to address the mixture holes. The section on modifying the idle system on page 94 does mention going up .020.

This carb does have idle air bypass, I'll be blocking the hot air choke and going electric. The mixture holes are at .070 now and I'll be following the first recipe closely. Will I benefit by opening them up to .090?

Thanks, Rhett

Never mind - found the answer on page 89.

Thanks again.
