Title: 7029207
Post by: 4ever18 on October 11, 2019, 10:16:26 AM
I recently picked up a 7029207 Chevy core.  Fromm all appearances, it had never been touched or opened up.  The mfg. date was 2297 which I thought would make it a FSR carb.  However.  It came with the early plastic fast idle cam.  Was Rochester still using these plastic cams in 77?

Not to my knowledge.  I have several SR 7029207's here and all of them have the metal fast idle cam on them.

Those are excellent carbs.  The SR's are set up a tad different than the original units and GM used them to service quite a few early applications including some of the big block higher output engines........Cliff
