Number?

Can´t find that number, but the "C" on throttle plate and the .120" upper main air bleeds indicates a 1976-79 passenger style M4MC Chevy unit.
Nice for a performance build.

Kent, Thanks for the info. It was someone’s project carb at one time. The air horn APT plug was removed and it was turned fully up. It also has nice CJ secondary rods. The baseplate idle bypass hole was drilled as big as a dime? LOL... On the baseplates top side, it was bushed down to a very small openings. Not sure if it was meant as a correction or they kept drilling larger to try to get it to idle properly? Chicken or the egg? I removed the hidden bushing and installed set screws on the bottom side.

As a precaution from dropping into the intake i prefer the setscrews installed from the top side.
I have found the largest .138" idle bypass air bleeds on 1970-74 factory Chevy bigblock applications.

True, I'll Locktite(medium) or slightly stake the threads. Is this a later small tip J,K,L primary rod version , and not a Large M type core?
Thanks again. Michael

The .120" main airbleeds in airhorn and float bowl indicates .026" primary rod tips.
With the proper sized jets you may use the .036" tipped rods too if you have to.
