Title: Issue removing secondary throttle shaft
Post by: Benji808 on September 13, 2021, 05:37:44 PM
Trying to replace my bushings with a kit from Cliff...disassembly almost complete but I haven't been able to get the throttle lever (?) removed from the secondary shaft. Everything I've seen looks like it should slide right off, but it doesn't. See attached picture for reference

Is there a trick to this, or has the screw somehow been made wonky over the years? Any ideas on how to solve? I've applied quite a bit of force but am wary of really levering against it for fear I'll bend the shaft...

Any ideas appreciated!

Finally able to “screw” it out. Have a few other questions I’ll call about in the morning.

Slide both shafts out at the same time

One the units using the double spring arrangement on the secondary throttle shaft there is no need to remove the shaft from the baseplate.

Most likely the end of the shaft is spread just a tad which was making the lever difficult to remove.....
