Shelf life of a rebuilt carb...

... is about how long, and what should I do to prepare it for shelf life? Would like to start now and not rush the rebuild, but it could be a year before I actually use the carb. It would be on a shelf in a garage.

Using modern materials shelf life would be many years. The gaskets we supply with our kits are non-shrink and don't stick to the castings. The needle/seat assemblies and accl pumps will last just about forever, even after periods of drying up if they were placed in service.....Cliff
