Help with 17059280
« on: March 17, 2013, 04:43:29 AM »
I picked up a couple of 17059280 marine quadrajets. These were used on a mercruiser 454 engine. I want to install them on mercruiser 4.3L v6 engine.

Can someone help with the jet sizes and metering rods that I am supposed to use for this application?

Thanks,
Claude

I would take them apart and see what is in there.  We stock jets and rods that would work for the 4.3 marine engines.  I would also install our rebuild kits, to get them up to par for modern fuels.....Cliff

Cliff thank you for your reply.

I do intend to rebuild these carbs. I will need the following:

2 x Rebuild kits
2 x Electric Chock Conversion Kits
2 x Jet and metering rod sets for 4.3L (I will check the ones that are on them now before I order)

Can you give me an estimate on the total cost including shipping. I live in Markham, Ontario, Canada.

Regards,
Claude..

If they are divorced choke units the can not be converted to electric choke.  They do make electric chokes for the intake, but we do not sell them here.

Rebuild kits are $45.95 each, shipping apprx $20 to Canada via USPS...thanks...Cliff
