Seriously, Carb tuning and messing around with old stuff requires great patience. The learning curve is long. That is why Cliff started this forum, to share knowledge and to shorten the curve a little bit.

If you have the ability and tools to rebuild a carb, you should be able to tune it. It takes some trial and error, much note taking, and time, but believe me, once you get a Q-jet dialed in, nothing can beat it [on the street].
