Cliff, white plastic power piston seal question

I bought a few from you some time ago, am i correct in thinking these need a split cut into them to put them on? Only way i know of putting them on unless you take top of power piston arm off. Thank You
Any input would be helpfull

Also how do you recommend this split if needed to be done?? how wide??

The only ones we sell are already split and slide over the arm after removing the stock one....Cliff
