455/17057253 carb port vac ?

What V/port would be best for v/adv. on a 455/6x4's/8* initial time. thanks

Depends on several things, like the cam being used and how well the carb is set up for it.

The correct distributor port on that carb is in the front of the main casting, just to the right of the fuel filter housing (ported vacuum).

I use ported for most of my set-ups, on occasion we'll use MVA, but reserve that deal mostly for overcammed "low" compression engines that require a butt-load of timing at idle to be happy......Cliff

Thanks Cliff !! That's the one I have it hooked to. Thanks for the additional info also ,my cam is near stock .

Then it shouldn't want or need a lot of timing at idle speed, and the factory timed (ported) fitting to the distributor should work fine.....Cliff
