Carb wet at bottom gaskets

I had a carb company rebuild my 72 quad.I didn't know about this place.Ive noticed the gasket between base and center is wet.Took off manifold and wet there to.have not even drove car yet,this is just at idle since reinstall.frustrated.

Sure sounds like a fuel well leaking problem to me.

X2 on the fuel well leaking.  Also, check that the base plate screws, two or three underneath and the two back airhorn (top) screws are snug.  Not over-tight, just good and snug.
I would also check for proper float height and that you're not pushing too much fuel pressure from the pump.  While you're in there, make sure the needle hanger isn't hanging through one of the float bracket holes.  It should just hang from the middle flat of the bracket.
Lastly, is the mating surface on the intake good and flat?  Check with a known-good straight edge.
