SR kit and Rod selection

I'm going to be getting the SR rebuild kit and need to know what rods I would need.
Application is an Oldsmobile 403, .020 over, Edelbrock 7111 intake, ProComp aluminum heads that I've read average 235cfm on intake at my lift, 9.5:1 comp. My altitude is 5,100'. The vacuum at idle was about 14" with the stock cam. I'll be using the Lunati Voodoo 262/268 (cam card says 267/273, 220/227 @.050). It should make ~400hp corrected and I've been told closer to 280hp actual at this altitude. The custom 50 M style rods say they're good for high altitude. Will the stock rods be fine or should I get those?
My carb is 17059253. That number says it's for a manual but it's in an auto. It currently has CV secondaries and J hanger. The second recipe in the book says .036-.048. The AX rods sound closest of the ones you sell. Would those be the ones to get?

You will need the full tapered 45C rods.  The 50C rods that I sell have .036" tips.

At 5000' the CV secondaries would be better than dropping down to AX. 

The 17059253 is stock on the 1979 403 engines in the T/A's.  Nice carburetor and a good choice for what you are doing.

Probably best to call the shop to order, we can go over the details and get the right tuning parts in the kit.  I'm here 7am-4pm, M-F EST...tks...

It would be better to do it here or via email. It's not being ordered with my card. I'm sending the list/links of what to order to my cousin.

Are the 45c rods the ones that say .044 diameter?
Should I also get the power piston springs assortment?
The car will spend most of its life here but may be driven to sea level at some point. Would it be okay with the carb set up for this altitude or would the jets and rods need to be changed at sea level?

It's always best to call the shop to order if you are wanting a rebuild kit and tuning parts.

I will build the kit exactly for what you are doing to take the guesswork out of the equation.

We recently added full tapered 45C custom metering rods.  They taper from .045" to .026" tips and made for the 1976 and later APT carbs.

The 50C are for the SMAB models that used the "M" series rods.

It is possible to set-up your carb with 50C rods by using larger jets, but more practical to use the 45C rods instead.

I'm here 7am-4pm, M-F EST.  Shop number is 740-397-2921.  Call volume is HEAVY, especially on Mondays and Fridays.  If I don't answer leave a good number and I'll call back.  Indicate you are buying parts instead of wanting me to crawl thru the phone and fix all the issues with the rebuild kit you bought on Ebay for $17 with free shipping and nothing works for chit.  Those callers go to the back of the line and get called back the second or third Tuesday next week!.......Cliff
