I'm kinda under the assumption it all goes together clean and dry, do any parts of the carb get lubricated?

No. But it's not a bad idea to crank the engine enough on restart to refill the accelerator pump well before depressing the accelerator pedal.

I usually put a drop of oil on the cover screws & a bit of oil on the accel. pump.

I drop or two of light oil on the fast idle cam is a good idea.
Put a dab of grease on the pin where the secondary spring slides on it.....
