Anyone recognize this QJ choke?
« on: December 12, 2022, 08:53:20 AM »
I have a puzzle that I've been trying to solve for a while now, wondering if you guys could help?

See my pictures below. My 66' Olds Toronado appears to have the correct carb (7036250) with the incorrect choke installed. I'm trying to figure out where this choke pulloff came from.

The housing appears to be from a 1968 Cadillac 472 Quadrajet 7028231 (https://quadrajetpower.com/cadillac-1968-472-quadrajet-7028231/) but the pulloff doesn't match anything I've been able to find.

Any help would be great! Thanks

I should have noted. The picture of the carb which is mounted on the car is my mystery choke with the strange pulloff.

The second pic is a 1968 Cadillac QJ with the choke displayed for reference.

Yours 7036250 has a Cadillac P-O bracket with an aftermarket fast idle cam and a 1970-71 Chevrolet P-O.
