I would NOT under any circumstances put anything on an accl pump seal during installation if you didn't buy it here.
My seal is completely impervious to any type of lubricants or chemicals, but the seals you are buying from other vendors are NOT.
At least 90 percent of the kits being sold these days are Walker kits just re-boxed. Their seal is a "soft" piece of silicone and will swell right up in contact with any of this new fuel and most chemicals or lubricants it comes in contact with.
My seal is a real flouroelostomer part and lifetime warranty in any fuel. It doesn't need any help from any type of lubricant during installation.
Accl pump seal failure is 100 percent if you are using a Walker based kit. I test ALL seals in every kit out there. Some kits still show up with black buna rubber seals, others leather (useless in any fuel IMHO), and the soft "blue" ones.
Below is a pic taken during a class I put on two summers ago. At the beginning of the class I took a NAPA black seal, blue seal from a Walker kit, and my seal and put them in E-10 premium pump fuel. About an hour or so into the class we stopped for a break and this and took this pick.
My students were shocked as their companies all use locally supplies kits from parts stores and they had been experiencing a high pump seal failure rate and didn't know why?
My seal is on the right, and in this case a picture is worth at least 1000 words.......
