Torque Values
« on: April 22, 2011, 07:41:59 PM »
What are the proper torque values to use when assembling a Q-Jet?  I just invested in a low range torque wrench and a torque driver and want to do things precisely as possible.

Thanks for any responses!

Don't know if there are any for the screws that attach the parts to the main casting?  The gaskets compress some anyhow, so I would use a good fitting screwdriver and tighten them pretty hard, then go back in a half hour or so and hit them again.

For the screws holding it to the intake, just "snug" them up, they don't like, want or need any "torque" to hold them in place.  The long bolts in the front will warp the airhorn and main casting if overtigthened.......Cliff
