Were correct Primary Rods received in order?
« on: March 24, 2013, 06:14:47 PM »
Several years ago I ordered a rebuild kit, rods and jets for Carb no. 17080228.  I believed the carb to be running lean
and mentioned this to Cliff so he could supply the correct parts.
I am finallly getting around to do the work and wonder if I have the correct primary rods?
They are 50M and the jets are no. 73.   The secondary rods are DA.
Thanks

 Welcome to CHP!

Just for reference, the stock specs were .072 Primary Jets, 41K Primary Metering Rods, K Secondary Hanger and CH Secondary Metering Rods. :)

I called Cliff and he said the correct parts were received.   It is my understanding that the new parts of the 50M rods with 73 jets would be leaner than the original 41K rods with 72 jets?   I believe the car is running too lean so am looking for a combination to be richer.  Any suggestions?
