secondary hanger and gasket thickness

1) am rebuilding a 17057253 carb for a Pontiac 326HO. Stock cam.
I have 3 of these carbs that I can pull parts from. Interestingly they all have different secondary rod holders. Which one to use?
2) Cliff's rebuild kit comes with 2 different gaskets that go between air horn and body. Thick or thin?
3) How much warp on the body is OK? I checked all 3 and they all are warped. Just eyeballing I'd say they all have approx. 1/16" Too much? OK?

It is always best to keep all the parts together with each carb as the factory dialed in each one with the parts it will show up with.

If the main body and airhorn fit well together, use the thinner gasket....Cliff

So just to be clear 3 different 17057253 carbs, all the same number will have different hangers and other components?
I was under the impression that all carbs with the same numbers used the same components. How did GM know which carb fit which application if they didn't use the numbers?
Not trying to be a wise acre or anything, just am confused.

Each carburetor was factory calibrated, so you may see different height for the PP (APT adjustment), and different hangers used even if they have the same part number.....Cliff
