Cliff on your custom rods I have them is the entire uper part .044 to wear it tapers down ned to know so I can adjext them right heigjt

They taper on the upper section apprx .002", then taper all the way down to the .026" tips. With the rods exactly even, they provide full control from rich to lean on the later carburetors.....Cliff

I adjusted the mix in until it stumbles, then out about 1/2 turn.
If it needs more bypass air, and the bypass is plugged, where do I go from here? Should I now remove the restrictions?

It should not be dribbling from the main boosters at idle. Do you have control of the idle speed with the bypass air holes blocked off?.....Cliff
