HOW RARE 7941240

Got a 7041240 carb on trade ,I know its for a 1971 buick , auto trans . has the slashed front vent tube ,should be a 800 cfm .I wondered how rare this carb is , and which model it would have came on gs ?

sorry got the title carb number wrong ,its 7041240, darn fat fingers

 According to my manual, it came on the '71 Buick Stage I 455cid engine. Definitely a hard carburetor to find. ;)

stage 1 455 ,great trade i guess i got,thanks ethan 1 for the info, Somebody going to want that carb I bet. I will save it for someone restoring a 1971 classic 455 buick

 And it's definitely the 800cfm version. May try searching for a classic Buick forum and see if someone needs it. Might just get lucky! :)

The 7041240 is not the hard to find unit, they are 7041242.  Still an excellent carb, large cfm, divorced choke, etc......Cliff

I did some more looking ,the date code 2183 makes it and replacement carb , iam guessing for the 455 stage 1;11971 buick.  while iam on here ,whats a good source for a rochester carburetor application manual? Thanks cliff for the info , almost had a rare one there.
