Missing Secondary Pickup Tubes Help please.
« on: January 07, 2013, 05:27:26 PM »
I was rebuilding my original 67 Qjet (7027211) and when I removed the air horn I noticed that there weren't any secondary pickups tubes and only the two air bleed tubes.  Is this normal or did someone before me remove / lost them?  I order and received what it thought were the correct secondary pickup tubes but they don't fit.  The OD of the tubes I received are 1/8" and the hole's ID on the air horn where the tubes would have gone is 3/32". I also checked to see if I had the fuel ports by the secondary air flaps on the air horn but my carb doesn't have those ports either, the entire cavity where the secondary tubes would go is sealed (no exit for the fuel)....I'm wondering that maybe these weren't used back in 1967 but have no way to confirm this.  If they were, could someone let me know where i could get the right (3/32") ones?  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks in advance.   8)

Secondary POE wasn't used on many models thru 1968.  It can be added if needed without a lot of fuss.....Cliff
