Help With Part # to Rebuild
« on: April 02, 2013, 09:37:27 AM »
Hi Guys

New to the forum, looks like lots of knowledge around here.

I have a 1971 Monte Carlo,SS454 car,that i purchased last July.

Right now it has a Holly 850 dp on it,with manual choke(not hooked up) sitting on a Edelbrock Performer 2.0 intake.

My question is,can you suggest a 76 or later Q-jet part number (with electric choke ) that would work?

I could use original p/n 7041200,but it uses the divorced choke setup with the linkage mounted on the manifold(not sure if this would work properly with my intake) I would prefer electric.

Thanks-Shawn

Any of the Chevy car carbs should be fine. Corvette, Camaro, etc.

What's the P/N on the intake? If it doesn't have the divorced choke box a 4MV will not work.

Any M4MC can be converted to electric choke w/ the choke kit from Cliff.
