Wanted: Base Plate
« on: June 08, 2013, 12:15:51 PM »
I am looking for a 7029261 or a 7028261 or equivalent.  I am not sure which years/models will be the same other than the ones I have listed but if there are other Manual base plates that are the same I will consider.  Please no broken or parts that need machinist repair as that is what I am replacing.

The 7029261 and 7028261 have two different baseplate part numbers. Don't know if they will interchange though.

I assume that they do.  One is the 69FB Manual I have and the other would be a 68.  I have a 68 Auto that has the stuck screw.  I am assuming that since the motors did not change that hopefully the base plates would be the same and easier to locate.  66/67 were different and After 69 the motor as dropped.

As these two carbs that I have posted are somewhat rare I am open to learning about other base plates that will work.  I have a 68 Automatic Carb that is being set up to run on a Manual 69 car.  Being that it is a "spare" carb I don't care what it looks like but rather that it runs right.  If there is a base plate out there (for cheap) I would love to hear about options.

Thank you fr your help.
