Next time this happens shut the engine down, pull over and remove the air cleaner.  If the carb is flooding, which is the most likely cause there will be a heavy fuel smell and some fuel on top of the airhorn around the accl pump shaft, etc.....Cliff

Okay will do, I was also thinking the car sat for 8 years in storage, do you think any stuff in the tank would of done somthing to the inside of the carb? I looked at the fuel filter and it doesn't seem to bad.

Been playing with carb, when I give it enough throttle to open secondaries and when I let the gas off its what's on to stall, but if It runs fine until secondaries open up.

i would start by changing the filter no matter how it looks .if that doesnt work i would check for fuel volume . pull the line off the carb . stick it in a bucket and spin it over . id also look for any cracks in you hoses coming from the tank.if all thats good then i would check the pressure going it the carb. your problem seems to be ether lack of fuel or too much im leaning to lack by the way you explained it. hth

Could be a number of things going on.  I'm wondering at this point about the "rebuild", what was done and what parts were used?.....Cliff
