Installing idle bypass air

Working wt a 7207211 carb and going to install idle bypass air and was looking for suggestions and techniques to accomplish.
Drill completely through base plate or the intersecting method. Thanks

Much easier to make channels on the bottom of the baseplate. The factory used intersecting drilled passages for bypass air on the Chevy baseplates, most others had channels, same end result.....Cliff
