Hello cliff.
Great service you are providing.
I have spent a lot of time on here researching my carb\engine spec's.
If most of the people were to research by carb number, then engine displacement. You probably would not have to spend as much time answering questions.
I have you book, understand carbs, and rebuilt a bunch over the years.but this one is kicking my bahukie.
Yes I bought your kit.best supplied I have ever bought.bought the master kit with rods and jets.
Carb number 17059272. Plastic filler block 7041471-22.
The issue is the primary rods are pushed all the way back towards the fuel well\secondaries.they are rubbing the block and the tips are hitting the jets.when manually pushing the power piston, they go down into the jets but not centered.
With the air horn on,pushing down through the air vent.the power piston binds when pushing in the center with a small screwdriver, where the two arms join. But if pushing farther out,it seems to un stick and move. The power piston does feel's loose in its bore. No! It is not new. Forgot to order one.
You know,the excitement and all!
I have ground and polished the area in the air horn , where the top of the power piston accesses. The arms look straight. Polished the vacume bore also.
I experienced this before on this carb.been on the shelf. With all the up grades to the engine, I figure this is a good platform to build on. Any help would be appreciated.
