7029268 / Idle Air Bleed adjustment screw...
« on: October 24, 2016, 10:28:58 AM »
Hello Cliff,

I'm finally getting around to rebuilding my Q-Jet with your kit. Upon disassembly, I noticed that someone had previously messed with the front upper vent tube and removed the triangle shaped lock-cover over the idle air bleed screw at one time. The screw itself was loose and nearly seated all the way in. With previous rebuilds I've done in the past, I've never touched this screw before and do not know what the proper procedure is for adjusting it. Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks,
Grant

I would gently seat the screw and not worry about it for the time being.  They were factory set on the original application and basically tamper proof.  Most are seated or very close to it when we've taken them apart for rebuilding/restoration.....Cliff
