Baseplate came in today
« on: February 07, 2017, 07:43:28 PM »
Got home from work today and there was the package I was hoping to see! Sent my baseplate off to be rebuilt and ordered an HP kit. The baseplate looks great and I can't wait to start on the carb this weekend. Turn around time was faster than expected! Great service!

Thank you Cliff

Oh I'm sure when I get to tuning the car I'll be on here asking. Calling would be difficult because of the crazy hours I work. 4 am to 430 pm kinda kills the day for normal business communications haha.

Well, yesterday was a long day. Lots of home stuff had to be done, then helped the daughter get ready for her first high school dance, and pictures and the whole thing (There is a lot more that goes into that than for a boy...)

Anyway, last night I finally got around to rebuilding my 17057229 carb with the HP Kit and rebuilt baseplate from Cliff. And I must say that is the most complete kit ever!
The only question I really have is about the Idle Air Bleeds. The UPPERS are .080 and the LOWERS are .063, I'm sure I read in another thread that they balance out, are those sizes OK? If not, I do have to pull it apart again anyway, because I was preoccupied wondering if I was going to have to dig a hole for my daughters dance escort that I never checked the float height. So its coming apart today yo set the float.
