7037262 questions

I bought a 7037262 quadrajet that was removed from a 1967 Catalina. The application code was factory stamped on the drivers side rear corner, like 68 and beyond carbs were stamped. The carb body does not have the circle where the application disc was affixed on most factory 67 quadrajets.
The base of the carb is a 7037174 base. The carb body is 7033883.  Below the 7037262 application stamp, it is stamped 1712. 
I'm thinking this was a Pontiac dealer replacement carb, for a Calif sold 1967 car, that was made from a 171st day of a 1972 factory carb.

Is this so, if not is this an original 1967 AIR carb?  Also what do you charge to rebuild this carb?

If it was stamped and doesn't have a round tag it's Service Replacement.  They were specifically made to replace the original units but may have a slightly different calibration in some cases to cover a broader range of applications.

I'm not taking in any new work at this time, but will be glad to supply the correct parts to completely/correctly rebuild it. 

When you get time call the shop, I'm here 7am-4pm M-F EST and most Saturdays to at least noon.  Currently I'm running even longer hours do to heavy call volume and I'm not going anyplace anyhow.......tks.....Cliff

1712 indicates a factory service replacement manufactured June 19, 1972.  171st day of 1972.
