Is there a Qjet version that would work best for this engine
1966 283, stock 195 hp changing from 2 bbl to 4
I picked up a 4 bbl intake from a 66 /327
Suggestions appreciated I’m a noobie at this

If you are planning on using the factory divorced choke set-up I would use an early Chevy divorced choke carburetor. Keep in mind that there were several different variety used and several different divorced chokes available.
If you want to make it much easier obtain a later model Chevy Q-jet with a hot-air to convert to electric or one that already uses an electric choke.
There is a chapter in my book on carburetor selection which will help when making a good choice.
Those early intakes also had a heat "channel" under the carb and used a gasket and stainless steel shim under the carburetor. If you go to a later carburetor you are going to want to block off the channel at both ends and use the appropriate gaskets under the carb so you don't have a vacuum leak.......Cliff

It would help to provide more details on your carburetor. I know what it is but folks reading this will probably not without doing some research.
Chevy?
Side inlet?
Divorced choke?
Hot air choke?
Electric choke?
A pic or two would be nice....tks...
