Idle Mixture Screws not seating evenly
« on: March 02, 2021, 11:06:13 PM »
What do you do when the Idle Mixture Screws don't seat evenly? Hopefully you can see in the photo that the one on the right is sticking into the bore a little farther than the one on the left. If I switch the screws the situation does not reverse, the one on the right still sticks out farther.

Thanks,
Jim

If the idle needles has identical taper and length and the holes measure the same size i would say no problem.

If the springs are on the screws and the holes have been enlarged, the springs could cause coil bind before the screws fully seat. If that's the case cut just enough off the springs to alleviate coil bind. Compare screw head position and screw depth with and without springs.
