NUMBERS ON THROTTLE BODY
« on: July 05, 2022, 02:22:08 PM »
Hi Everyone,
I'm new here and kind of feeling my way around.  I'm especially interested in reading about how to dial in the quadrajets on my '68 Olds 4-4-2 (7028251 RJ) and my '69 Olds 4-4-2 (7029251 RJ) and I'm sure I will find some great info already in print.
I have a question about the quadrajet on my '69 4-4-2.  On the throttle body, furthest aft on the driver side quarter, there is a larger numbers "9" and smaller numbers "29" stamped into it.  Does anyone know the meaning of these numbers?  On my '68, there is a date code stamped into the throttle body further forward on the same surface but the '69 Olds quadrajets are notorious for not having any date code.  I'm wondering if what I am seeing on my '69 throttle body is some sort of date code.
Thank you for allowing me to be a part of this forum.  I'm looking forward to exploring it!
