Cliff's HP rebuild kit
« on: August 26, 2024, 12:36:15 PM »
I currently am running the original 301 carb on my 400 with an Edelbrock performer intake.  while it does run decent, my mechanic told me it's starving for fuel at WOT.  would rebuilding it with the HP kit solve this issue? or do I need to change out the metering rods and jets to something else?  the current metering rods have a CH on them, no clue what jets I have without tearing it apart.  it has a slight stumble when you step on the pedal hard, I adjusted the secondaries and they seem to open properly, just can't get past that little bog.

The 301 is a excellent starting point for a really nice HP carburetor, but going to need some help in a few areas for what you are doing.  It would be best to have me put together a custom rebuild kit with high performance and tuning parts to set it up exactly for what you are doing.  I'm in the shop 7am-4pm, M-F EST or email to:
