Hi everybody happy holidays,
First post here, I'm sure I will get good info !
The question is for Cliff due to a conversation we had by email but other can shim in.
My carb (freshly rebuild to stock condition), you said I could enlarge the idle tubes .002-.003"
to get more control on the mixture screws because they are almost all the way out and still want more. With my hand on top of carb I get a good vacuum and rpm rise. There's no vacuum leak.
Engine is a 70 455 (I presume stock, but with 1 3/4" headers and 2 1/2" exhaust pipes).
So enlarging the idle tubes would be the only thing to do for the moment ?
What about down channel restrictions ?
Should I buy idle tubes the size I need or enlarge the one I have ?
Thanks
