I've got an operational question regarding the fast idle cam.
I've got 7041267 on a 71 T/A.
Is the cam supposed to fall on its own as the choke warms?
Or are you supposed to have to tap the throttle to release the pressure from the cam follower on the fast idle cam steps?
I've seen a couple manuals that say the engine should slow down as it warms...BUT, that might be on newer carbs. I don't see any mechanism other than gravity that would help push that cam down as the choke coil lever pulls down.
Thx!
