7043202 quadrajet by Carter. Missing rod?
« on: October 21, 2025, 02:53:19 PM »
I'm helping a friend with this carb on a 73 Corvette 350. It has got a different choke pulloff than I've ever seen, see attached pic. Can this be a Carter thing?
Anyway, it seems to me that there is a rod missing, so no choke pulloff, just 2nd air valve control.
(Bimetal spring is detached and choke valve is blocked open for now)
Am I rght in that there is a missing rod, and if so, is there anybody who has got one?
Or a good picture of one, so I might be able to make one?
Thanks.

Looks like there's supposed to be another rod. Bet Cliff has one.
