750 Q-Jet 400 onto 455
« on: September 27, 2011, 01:30:19 AM »
Hi
Hi all

My Carb was rebuilded from cliff self for my Buick GS400 and he runs really great.
But now i need more power, so im rebuilding a 455: :D

TA Stage 1 Heads ported 320cfm @ 0.5
TA 288-96h with 118 lobe center angle
10:8:1 SCR
Internally balanced
Oil Mods
500 Hp Fuelpump
Estimated 450-480 Hp

Do i need bigger jets in the 750cfm carb? Any advice to get the most HP? ???

Best regards

Robert

Most likely no.  A larger engine doesn't need a richer A/F ratio.  It may need more idle fuel, and more fuel right off idle, depending on the cam choice and vacuum at idle/off idle.....Cliff
