That carburetor will accept the late style small float from the 1975 and later carburetors.  Do not use the brass version, it is too heavy.

Those carburetors are excellent, needs a little help as they are emission calibrated.  I'd also look a the venting in the airhorn, they have a tendency to spill/splash out some fuel in circle track and drag racing applications.

For circle track, we install a taller front vent, then block off all other venting and internally vent the POE wells back to the main fuel bowl.....Cliff

As soon as the publishing company asks me for a revision or re-write.  PLENTY of good information to pass on racing applications, and more on custom tuning, etc.....Cliff

Will be looking forward to that one,and was wondering how hard it was to vent the POE to main fuel bowl as you suggested.is it something i can do or does it require something special...Thanks

There are many different models.  Basically you have to look at the airhorn, main casting, and make sure all venting rear of the front vent is controlled to keep fuel from spilling out on hard launches, stops, cornering, etc.....Cliff
