Idle mixture screw swapping
« on: October 21, 2009, 07:42:45 PM »
I have a 79 quadrajet that has the smaller style idle mixture screws without the slot for a screwdrive and the mixture screws that were sent to me from cliff are the the larger ones with the slot for the screwdriver. My question is can i just tap out the hole for the larger idle mixture screws? Thanks for your time.

We sell the correct thread pitch metric idle mixture screws with slotted ends.  They come in our rebuild kits for the 1979 and later carburetors.  I'm pretty sure those items are now listed in the "parts" section of our website.....Cliff
