another toughy?

Ok, so it seems as though I'm asking some tough questions, because I'm not getting too much in the way of replies - but I would like to try this one more time.

I have a little metal retainer that I found in a chevy carb;
this is clearly an aftermarket part;
it keeps the power piston in place;
it negates the need to stake the top of the casting in the power piston area.

Has anyone else ever seen these?

Are they readily available parts?

As with the last couple question, I am mostly curious.

:)

 This?

 If so, then yes. These are aftermarket and are readily available.

sweet!

Cliff Ruggles:
ALL of our rebuild kits contain a retainer for the power piston.  The type shown only fits the early units, the later ones take a plastic retainer.  Our kits will contain the appropriate one for the carburetor that you are working with.....Cliff

I am in the process of rebuilding my carb but can't figure out how to install this clip.  Anyone have a picture?  There wasn't one on the carb when I opened it.
