I chose a '85 SS for my daily driver because they weigh less and already come with an overdrive. I have another low miles '85 that I put a Tremec 5-speed stick in it. Love all Montes.....

Yea those are a little portly.

the 3rd gen is among the few nice cars built in the 80's in my opinion... and adding a Tremec does not make it less desirable :-)
