Two types of external idle vent valves?
« on: February 14, 2015, 09:06:16 AM »
I have a 7029202 Carter Qjet that has a one piece idle vent valve tang, with the rubber stopper and the hole where the wire from the accelerator pump arm goes into. There is no box cover for the unit. Is this correct for this carb? The reason I ask is that any other carbs I've had with an external idle vent have had two pieces (thin tangs), plus the box cover. Sorry, no pics right now. - Dale

They made them both ways, one and two piece, the two piece is more common after 1967.....Cliff
