Stock jets #17056208 ???
« on: December 14, 2014, 12:00:31 PM »
Being a born and bred a Chevy man.. The Quad has alway's been my favorite carb.. BUT when I decided I wanted another street car for some dumb reason I wanted something different.. So I built a 75 Ford Maverick.. Yes I know a Ford... I put a 600 Holley on it, and in my opinion.. They suck.. So I am going to rebuild a Quadrajet #17056208. The motor is a 70 model 302 30 over flat top motor with 70 model 351W heads that have been heavily ported and polished, and cut out with bigger stainless valves..  The cam is 515 lift 285 duration. Since I can't seem to find the info on what the stock jets are on that carb. Was wondering if I should up the jets alittle bit on the primary side.. I know in my desire for something different I have disgraced my Chevy guy's for building a Ford, and for that I apolojize.. I also have 66 Impala SS 396, and a 78 Malibu 406 if that makes ya feel better..  ;D
