White oxidation in bowl
« on: February 15, 2015, 05:05:07 PM »
Does anyone know an easy way to remove white oxidation in the bowl?  I dipped it but it's still there.  I was considering sanding with 600 gt. wet paper?  Maybe a scotch pad?

I have seen two types of white oxidation.  The thin light layer that occurs after cleaning and exposure to the air and the heavy thick oxidation that results from a dirty carb.  You can see the latter type inside the fuel inlet and under the jets.   It looks like little spots of off white dirt and has a noticeable thickness to it.   This is how it looked in my carb.

I read some where the first type is normal.
