   Those guys in NHRA stock eliminator run the original carbs because they have no choice, that's what the rules are.  I'm not saying they're not doing a great job because they are, but if they could, I'm sure they would use a later model casting because they are better.

Actually per NHRA rules they can use any Q jet as long as the venturi size (750 or 800 cfm) matches original.
