Power piston cleaning & polishing question

I usually polish the piston with crocus cloth to a shine but the upper portion thats steel of the power piston is there anything i can dip them into to clean them up like new???

I bought a tumbler from Eastwood to polish small things, like fasteners, washers, small brackets, etc. and it worked pretty well. Both on brass and steel parts. Might give it a try. Let see what others use.

I use 000 steel wool, and a small wire brush on the upper if necessary.
