fuel line nut thread size

 Are we talking about the actual fuel line fitting size or the fuel inlet nut? The fuel line fitting came in several different sizes whereas the fuel inlet nut only came in three (at least, that I am aware of). The 5/8"-18 (which I believe only came in 2GC,V,etc., the 7/8"-20 which came on the earlier Quadrajet's (not sure when they stop doing the 7/8"-20) and the later 1"-20. HTH

 Actually, I am thinking of the fuel line fitting tubing diameter sizes. I believe the threaded-nut on the end of the tubing is 5/8"-18. But, I believe they may have come in different sizes. What size tubing/fuel line are you running to the fuel inlet nut? What year carb/carb number are we talking about here?

I mean the nut that sits on the fuel line from the the pump.

The carb is a late 70's Chevy.
I am getting ready to put one together for a friend and it will be one of the late 70's large mab Chevy units I have lying around.
My friend wants to put AN fittings on and needs to know the thread size
