dual jet tri-power
« on: July 26, 2016, 02:48:12 AM »
I've seen many multiple carb setups. Would it be possible to set up a tri-power with dual jet carb? I think the dual booster would help with the transition stage.

Cool idea.  Seems like the "throwaway" dualjet would function well in a tri-power set up.  Wonder if anyone has tried it?

I ran trips on my 65 Goat for many years. Nothing like them. Lots of fun, ..for the times anyway. The sound is something indistinguishable, from anything out there.

As for a dual-jet, I guess anything is possible, if you want to spend the time and money. On the end carbs of the Rochester 2Gs, they were dummy carbs, meaning there wasn't any idle circuit. and the baseplates were shafted with the correct linkage to connect the carbs, for efficient driving. Plus, I'm not sure I've seen any tri-power intakes flanged for a dual jet, altho I guess adapters could be fabbed. In my opinion, the dual booster is the least of benefits, compared to the aggravation of manufacturing the set-up. But hey, that's just me.
